Creative Diagnostics provides DiagNano™ gold nanoshells with surface plasmon resonant (SPR) absorption at 660, 800 and 980 nm. DiagNano™ gold nanoshells consist of a nanoscale silica core coated by a thin gold shell. Gold nanoshells are the first nanoparticle used for photothermal cancer therapy and the transition of this approach to clinical trials is currently underway. The surface plasmon resonant (SPR) absorption and scattering of gold nanoshells across the visible to near infrared (NIR) regions by changing the ratio of the core diameter and the shell thickness. DiagNano™ gold nanoshells are widely used in optical imaging, sensor, surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS), drug delivery and photothermal therapy.
