Absolute Mag™ BSA Silica Magnetic Particles, 6 µm (#SMP-UM23) are prepared according to a modified Stoeber process by hydrolysis of orthosilicates and related compounds as cluster-typed particles.

Protein binding capacity: 1.4 - 1.6 µg albumin (BSA) / mg particle
Magnetization: 6.0 emu/g particles (H =1000 Oe)

Storage Buffer
Suspension in PBS (0.02 % sodium azide).
Stable in aqueous buffers pH > 3, organic solvents.
Not stable in hydrofluoric acid, strong basic media, e.g. 6 M NaOH.
