Absolute Mag™ Protein G Magnetic Particles, 1-4 µm (# WHM-L064) are silanized iron oxide particles with Protein G covalently coupled to the surface. The beads typically used to isolate antibodies from serum and cell culture supernatant and to separate cells of interest from a cell mixture.

Application Notes
• For antibody purification, the particles are incubated with the antibody solution and then magnetically separated from the supernatant. The antigens and antibodies can be dissociated from the particles using an elution buffer. • For cell isolation, the monoclonal or polyclonal antibody to the cell surface antigen is incubated with Protein G magnetic particles, magnetically separated, and then incubated with the cell suspension.
